“Tax help is just one of the many community services that I provide for my constituents and is available for low income earners – students, pensioners or welfare recipients – as well for those residents from non-English speaking backgrounds.
“If you meet these criteria and you need help with your tax, I can arrange for a qualified tax agent to help you file your return for free.
Mr Ripoll said he has been providing this service for the past ten years with great results, but because demand for this service is very high he recommends that people register now.
“Tax help is a great way for me to keep in touch with the needs of my local residents and it’s all about access and affordability for those that need it most,” he said.
If you fit the following criteria, you are eligible for Tax Help.
Single person:$40,000 or less
Married or de facto:$40,000 or less plus $2,500 for each child
Single parent:$40,000 or less plus $2,500 for each child
